AFGHANISTAN CONTINUED their impressive campaign by brushing aside Papua New Guinea by seven wickets in Trinidad to confirm their place in the Super 8s.
Left-arm seamer Fazalhaq Farooqi starred once again with the ball, claiming 3-16 to take his haul for the tournament to 12 at an extraordinary average of 3.50. PNG’s chaotic innings also featured four run-outs, with Kiplin Doriga (27 from 32) top-scoring in his side’s 95 from 19.5 overs.
