BANGLADESH CONFIRMED their place in the Super 8s by defeating Nepal by 21 runs in a low-scoring encounter in St Vincent.
After winning the toss and electing to field, the underdogs restricted Bangladesh to 106 from 19.3 overs, Shakib Al Hasan top-scoring with 17 while Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel and Sandeep Lamichhane claimed two wickets apiece in a spirited bowling display.
In reply, Tanzim Hasan was superb once again, the 21-year-old fast bowler tearing through Nepal with an outstanding new-ball spell of 4-2-7-4.
