THE LANKA Premier League has kicked off in Sri Lanka with Galle Marvels, their lineup including Alex Hales who hit 65 in their opening fixtures against Jaffna Kings, setting the early pace.
The competition includes two additional overs of power play in the 16th and 17th overs called the “powerblast overs” which restrict teams to a maximum of four players outside of the 30-yard circle.
