Bangladesh unrest puts World T20 in doubt
PROTESTS AND widespread violence in Bangladesh over the last few weeks has resulted in doubts over whether the country will be able to host the women’s T20 World Cup in October.
The issues have resulted in cricket in the country being disrupted, with the senior men’s team having had to cancel several training sessions ahead of their scheduled departure to Pakistan on August 16.
With hosting the World Cup a concern as things stand, India, Sri Lanka and UAE have been listed as back-up venues.
