England Lions comfortably beat Sri Lankans but game is cause for debate

SRI LANKA’S preparations for the first Test against England next week didn’t quite go to plan after they went down convincingly to the England Lions by seven wickets.
Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 139 in their first innings as Gloucestershire’s Zaman Akhter (5-32) and Leicestershire’s Josh Hull (3-30) shared eight wickets between them.
The Lions then proceeded to rack up 324, exciting Warwickshire prospect Hamza Shaikh making 91 and Somerset all-rounder Kasey Aldridge 78. Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya took 5-132 for the tourists.
