HARRY BROOK hit a defiant maiden ODI century to give England a 46-run victory over Australia in a rain-affected contest at Chester-le-Street and keep the series alive.
Following heavy defeats at Trent Bridge and Headingley, the hosts knew a loss in the third ODI would hand the five-match series to the Aussies, but Brook’s unbeaten 110, made from 94 balls, put England comfortably ahead on DLS when the rain arrived.
