Into its fourth year, some much-needed narratives have begun to form around the shaky foundations of the men’s Hundred. Chiefly, the story of Oval Invincibles, with its nucleus of Surrey’s white-ball stars, emerging as the team to beat.
Tom Moody, head coach at the Invincibles, had made no secret of his intention to create a club-like atmosphere around his Oval-based squad and he figured the best way of doing that was to tap into the existing one.
