Grand day out: Kamindu has got to 1,000 runs as quickly as Bradman

KAMINDU MENDIS, playing in the second Test against New Zealand with his side one-nil up in the two-match series, scored his eighth fifty in his first eight Tests, including five centuries in his 13 Test innings. He is the fastest Asian player to score five hundreds and the third fastest ever, equal with Don Bradman.
His latest innings of 182* was his highest to date and powered Sri Lanka to 602 for 5. They then bowled New Zealand out for 88 in what is turning out to be a very one-sided Test match.
