Grand designs: Lord’s is to undergo mass redevelopment work

THE capacity of Lord’s cricket ground is set to increase to 31,000 after planning permission was granted this week to replace and redevelop two new stands.
The Compton and Edrich stands at the Nursery End of the ground will be replaced by new three-tier stands which will increase the capacity by 2,500 seats at a cost of £50 million.
