My sympathy for Windies

Bradford champs

AT one stage I’d have been delighted with a one-day victory over the West Indies. But long gone are the glory days of Richards, Lloyd and the four fast bowlers. Even the days of Lara, Walsh and Ambrose are now history.
Instead we faced a team bereft of stars, with their only genuine world-class player, Chris Gayle, being a mercenary bat for hire.
I never thought I’d feel sorry for their plight, but I am.
