Six-team T20 format confirmed for cricket at LA Olympics
CRICKET AT THE LA 2028 Olympic Games will feature six teams each in the men’s and women’s competitions.
Having last featured at the games in Paris in 1900 in the form of a one-off two-day match between Great Britain and France, cricket returns to the Olympics as a six-team T20 tournament, with each side allowed to name a squad of 15 players.
Cricket is one of five new sports to feature at LA 2028 along with baseball/softball, flag football, lacrosse (sixes) and squash.
