DESPITE missing the majority of his first season with the county, Hampshire have handed Reece Topley a contract extension that will see the bowler stay at the Ageas Bowl until at least the end of the 2018 season.
Topley, 23, broke his hand while batting on debut last season before a stress fracture to his back ruled him out of the rest of the campaign, meaning he has not played since last April.
Topley has made ten ODI and six T20I appearances for England taking 21 wickets at an average of 30.11, and he is now fully fit and ready to try and reclaim his place in the England side.
