FORMER Warwickshire director of cricket Dougie Brown has stepped back into the fray having been named coach of UAE.
Brown, who is a former England and Scotland all-rounder, had worked with UAE over a three-month spell as interim coach.
The UAE had been without a full-time coach since former Pakistan paceman Aaqib Javed resigned from the post in April 2016.
Brown had also been a strong contender for the Netherlands job over the winter and indeed managed them during the Desert T20 in January. But now he has taken the head coach role at UAE, a post previously held by Owais Shah.
