Wright steps down as Sussex captain

SUSSEX are on the hunt for a new permanent captain after Luke Wright decided to step down from the role.
Wright, 32, originally took the T20 captaincy in 2015 before gaining the role across all three formats of the game in 2016, following Ed Joyce’s decision to end his own reign as skipper.
He has now decided to step down as Sussex captain, with the side having played four County Championship matches so far this summer, as well as the One-Day Cup campaign, which saw the Sharks narrowly miss out on a quarter-final berth.
