AUSTRALIA have become embroiled in cricket’s rebranding row after the Australian women’s team announced they will no longer be known as the Southern Stars.
Last weekend, the West Indies revealed they will now be known formally as the Windies – and now the Australian women’s cricket team will now be known as just that.
The move comes as Australia make a symbolic move towards gender neutrality alongside the men’s team.
