GOOD to see that three Essex players Tom Westley, Dan Lawrence and Jamie Porter, plus team manager Chris Silverwood, have been awarded for their efforts in winning the Division One Championship by being selected for the Lions tour in Australia.
Lawrence and Porter started their career playing for Chingford which reminds me of another Essex player Robin Hobbs who played for Chingford. Hobbs was in Ray Illingworth’s successful 1970/1 squad that toured Down Under.
