DERBYSHIRE have not won a County Championship game on home soil in more than three years, so it is little wonder that priority number one for Kim Barnett this season is restoring home comforts.
You have to go back to September 2014 for the last example of a Derbyshire victory at the County Ground and Barnett knows that is a record that cannot be allowed to extend for another season.
Cricket advisor Barnett can take comfort from an improved 2017, in which the county won three Division Two matches, as opposed to none the previous season.
