HARRY Gurney may have stoked up a debate by suggesting that all club cricket in England should be played in the T20 or Hundred format.
And Nottinghamshire colleague, Samit Patel, tongue presumably in cheek, even suggested that playing T10 would be better.
But Simon Prodger, managing director at the Club Cricket Conference, unsurprisingly, begs to differ with Gurney’s assertion but does agree that the former England one-day man has shone the spotlight on a subject that needs to be tackled.
