A PIONEERING new women’s performance academy at Lord’s, aimed at helping promising young cricketers, is being hailed as a success story.
Launched as a joint initiative by the MCC and Middlesex, the academy was set up in late 2017 to help prepare talented players to represent their counties and perform at regional and national level.
Now in its second year, 12 players from the first cohort have already gone on to play first team county cricket.
