ESSEX off-spinner Simon Harmer has given up hope of a future England callup after the Kolpak rules were changed.
Harmer, 31, took part in five Tests for South Africa but had targeted playing for England after playing a starring role in county cricket for Essex, taking 212 County Championship wickets and helping them to Division One titles in 2017 and 2019.
