FORMER India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced retirement from international cricket.
The 39-year-old wicketkeeper/batsman is the only captain to win all ICC trophies, having claimed the 2007 World Twenty20, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, the 2011 Cricket World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
Dhoni has not played since India’s World Cup semi-final defeat last year but was due to star in this year’s IPL.
“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout, from 1929hrs consider me as retired,” Dhoni posted on his Instagram handle yesterday.
