FOR THE FIRST time in its 130-year existence, Lord’s played host to Vaisakhi, the most important festival in the Sikh calendar.
“Having the event in the Long Room means so much to people,” said Shivani Uberoi, who works as the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Education and Engagement Lead at the ECB. “It has so much history and prestige that I think it shows respect and a sense of belonging, it shows that their faith matters.”
