John Turner admits that it can be hard to resist paying attention to the numbers it produces – although he often waits until the game is finished to fully digest his latest round of bullets.
Speaking at Utilita Bowl on the eve of England’s T20 series against Australia, a smile immediately appears on his face when he’s asked if the Hundred holds a certain attraction because he can see exactly how fast he’s bowling.
“I suppose in the Blast we don’t have that, so it’s quite cool having it in the Hundred,” he says.
