NOTTINGHAMSHIRE’S Matt Carter is a man who seems to enjoy playing at Taunton.
The county’s latest breakthrough talent made his first-class debut in Somerset back in 2015, claiming a remarkable ten-wicket haul, while two weeks ago he ripped through eight wickets on the same ground despite Notts’ defeat.
The off-spinner has had to be patient though. Three years have passed since that debut yet the Somerset match marked only his sixth first-class appearance.
