SENDING departing wicketkeeper Chris Read out to pasture with a promotionwinning season will no doubt be all the motivation Nottinghamshire require.
Just this week, the 38-year-old – part of Notts’ Championship-winning teams in 2005 and 2010, and a key cog in the Outlaws’ one-day triumph in 2013 – announced he will retire at the end of the campaign.
