When you’re juggling working at McDonalds while turning out for England’s Under-19s, it’s fair to say you may not have had an orthodox development in cricket.
But that’s the tale of Derbyshire youngster Sam Connors, the 20-year-old who has made a handful of appearances for his county’s Second XI and is targeting a summer of progression in 2019.
The quick bowler began his youth cricket at Sawley & Long Eaton in Nottingham before moving on to Attenborough whilst in the Derbyshire academy.
