NORTHAMPTONSHIRE have promotion in their own hands heading into the final three matches after a thumping win in a match they dominated from ball one.
Worcestershire chose to bat first on a wicket that had been under cover for some time and were blown away in the morning session by Brett Hutton.
He was twice on a hat-trick and his 6-57 was his best return this season. Conditions did ease and Joe Leach made a smart unbeaten fifty but 186 was well short on a wicket that only gets better.
