In the middle of an unrelenting county schedule, stories of those who have scored stacks of runs or taken a hatful of wickets abound. But the individual performances of Robin Das, the 21-year-old Essex batter, have stood out from the pack.
The right-hander was given his first-class debut when Essex played Ireland at the end of May and scored a breathtaking century. It was followed up a few days later with a Player-of-the-Match knock of 69 off 33 balls in the T20 Blast against Gloucestershire.
