SAM Hain is adamant – Warwickshire’s 2016 campaign, which saw them win the One-Day Cup and finish mid-table in the County Championship, wasn’t good enough.
And despite the evidence of a resounding opening-day thumping at the hands of Surrey suggesting otherwise, Hain is confident his county will do better this time around.
That begins today as they welcome a similarly reeling Yorkshire to Edgbaston for their home opener, looking to kickstart the Ashley Giles era in earnest.
