This was almost the ideal time for Matthew Fisher to shine. The teenage seamer claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in the County Championship in his first appearance for just over two years, helping to bowl Warwickshire out for 219 on day one and boost Yorkshire’s bid to avoid relegation as a result.
Fisher, 19, has been much talked about since debuting for Yorkshire aged just 15 years and 212 days in a 40-over match against Leicestershire in mid- 2013.
