Tough road lies ahead but Crane can deliver again

IAN SALISBURY has called for patience as Mason Crane feels his way back after injury.
The Hampshire prodigy made his Test debut against the Aussies in the final Ashes Test at Sydney, becoming England’s youngest specialist spinner in 90 years.
His figures of 1-193 suggest that things could have gone better, but Salisbury tells The Cricket Paper that he was impressed with Crane at the SCG and believes it’s essential to look beyond the statistics to measure his performance, not just in the Ashes, but in county cricket too.
