Close call: Gary Ballance avoids a bouncer from Fidel Edwards
GARY BALLANCEinsists he is over his pink ball phobia after a typically gritty century against Hampshire.
Yorkshire batsman Ballance has previously had problems picking up the pink ball, used in the day-night match at the Ageas Bowl, due to his colourblindness – and had tried special sun glasses among other remedies.
But during his first competitive innings against the different coloured ball, Ballance struck a first Championship ton of the campaign, eventually departing for 109.
