Ihave been following Hampshire since I was a boy, over 60 years, so why could I not be much bothered with the 50-over Cup Final? Is it me or is it them (in some sense of “them”)?
Now, when I started, Hampshire were rated among the poorer counties (unlike today) and had over some sixty years won precisely nothing (though of course there was only the County Championship in those days) and there was a certain hunger for achievement.
