IT’S A case of what might have been for Somerset who should have welcomed Surrey to Taunton with the Division One title on the line and a potentially historic double in their sights.
Instead the recent slip-ups with the bat, most notably the catastrophic tie with Lancashire followed by defeat at Hampshire, have meant that Surrey have the title wrapped up with two games to go.
