WARWICKSHIRE already have one foot back in the top flight and it is captain fantastic Jeetan Patel they have to thank for that success, according to head coach Jim Troughton.
Warks’ promotion is not quite a fait accompli – next week’s game against third-placed Sussex is followed by a season finale against second-placed Kent – but the commanding 33-point buffer they have over third spot puts them in control.
