NICK Gubbins and Stevie Eskinazi both hit halfcenturies as Middlesex made a promising start to their contest with Lancashire at Lord’s.
The pair put on a 112-run partnership for the second wicket following the early departure of Sam Robson, before both fell prior to tea on day one.
