OPENER Daryl Mitchell wasted no time in finding his feet after racing to a fine unbeaten century before tea.
The county’s leading run scorer in the competition last year was unbeaten on 114 as he led Worcestershire to 230-2. Having been put into bat by Leicestershire, Mitchell opened with Tom Fell and the pair were going well until Will Davis found the top of Fell’s middle stump as he departed for 28.
Brett D’Oliveira was then dismissed second ball without scoring as Colin Ackermann caught him in the slips off Ben Mike.
