Trott coup was a ‘masterstroke’, admits Donald

KENT assistant coach Allan Donald believes his boss Matt Walker has pulled off a masterstroke by recruiting former England batsman Jonathan Trott as batting coach on a short-term contract.
Trott, who retired from playing at the end of last season, has been recruited by Kent on a short-term deal which will see him spend 40 days with the county. Having spent part of the winter working with England Lions, Trott is keen to develop his coaching career but, despite being linked with various county roles, Kent head coach Walker is the first to tap into his vast experience.
