NOT FOR the first time, Durham were cursing the name of Luke Wells in their bid to defeat Sussex.
Wells notched his highest firstclass score of 258 against the north-east outfit in 2017. The 28- year-old came to the fore for Sussex in their six-wicket victory at Emirates Riverside, despite missing out on the fifth century of his career against Durham.
