REDRUTH and Toby Whiteford appear to be maturing at just the right time.
After finding their feet in the Cornwall League’s Premier Division, Redruth have subverted expectations so far this season and find themselves jostling for the top spot with Penzance – the two teams were due to meet at Trewirgie yesterday.
One of the key men currently leading the charge is 24-year-old opener Whiteford, who hit a towering 137 as his side hammered Grampound Road just over a week ago.
