YORKSHIRE coach Andrew Gale paid tribute to seasoned campaigner Tim Bresnan after the 34-year-old’s halfcentury had rescued his team on the first day of the game against Nottinghamshire and laid the foundations for the 143- run victory which just about keeps the White Rose in the title race.
Bresnan arrived at the crease inside the first hour with his team in deep trouble on 38-5 but his 121- run partnership with Jonny Tattersall effected a partial recovery and set Yorkshire on the way to a respectable 232 all out.
