JACK Leaning is hoping to harness his County Championship pedigree to help new county Kent end the season on a high – starting with this week’s trip to bottom club Nottinghamshire.
The batsman, 25, scooped the summer’s crown with boyhood club Yorkshire in 2014 and 2015 but has stalled since then, scoring one century in nearly four seasons.
With Kent safely moored in mid-table in their first season back in the top flight, Leaning wants to lay the foundations for success in the longest form.
