TO say Lancashire skipper Dane Vilas has led from the front this season is something of an understatement.
The 34-year-old South African, who captained his side to a promotion-clinching victory over Derbyshire in three days by an innings and 45 runs, has so far compiled 1,016 runs at 101.6 and he scored a blistering half century here to set up a memorable win for the Red Rose who return to county cricket’s top flight with two games to spare.
