WORCESTERSHIRE bowler Jack Shantry will remain at the county until 2018 after signing a contract extension.
Shantry, 27, had two years remaining on his current deal but has committed to the relegated side for another season.
The left-armer is the ninth Worcs player to sign a new deal in the last five months, with Ed Barnard, Joe Clarke, Brett D’Oliveira, Tom Fell, Joe Leach and Charlie Morris all signing for three years.
Shantry said: “It was pleasing to see the other contract extensions.
“It shows the level of morale at the club, even though we had a difficult year in Championship cricket. We’ve got a group of players here that are only going to improve.”
