CONTROVERSIAL West Indian Chris Gayle will be back at Taunton this summer after agreeing a deal to play in the T20 Blast for Somerset.
Gayle appeared for the county in three matches last year and was recently fined £4,900 after asking a TV reporter for a date in a live interview while playing in Australia’s Big Bash.
The 36-year-old scored 328 runs in last year’s competition and will be available for games from June 1 through to June 19.
Gayle said: “I really enjoyed my time at Somerset last year. It’s a great club and the supporters were absolutely incredible.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the fans again and to scoring some more runs. Hopefully, I can help the club make it through to the later stages.”
