Mustard joins Gloucestershire on loan for rest of season

Durham wicketkeeper Phil Mustard has joined Gloucestershire on loan for the rest of the 2016 season.

Mustard, 33, is due to leave Durham at the end of the summer following 16 years of service with the county and joins Gloucestershire to cover the absence of Gareth Roderick.

Roderick is set for a spell on the sidelines after breaking his finger in a T20 Blash clash with Durham.

Left-handed batsman Mustard played in ten ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals for England in 2007 and 2008.

Gloucestershire head coach Richard Dawson said:  “It’s great that Phil has joined us for the rest of the season after Gareth’s injury to his finger.

“He brings with him vast experience and match winning abilities which I’m sure he will show whilst at Gloucestershire.”
