Master blaster: Alex Hales hits out as he made a rapid 95 for Notts

ALEX Hales came within a whisker of equalling Chris Gayle’s record for the fastestever T20 century as he helped Nottinghamshire cruise past Durham at Trent Bridge in the T20 Blast.
Hales smashed 95 off 30 balls – the same number Gayle had required for his world record effort back in 2013 in the IPL – with the Notts opener hammering nine sixes and as many fours in a five-wicket success.
