WEST INDIES paceman Jerome Taylor stole the limelight in Taunton as his five-fer quelled a Hampshire fightback and secured a fifth win in eight for Somerset.
Taylor and his teammates maintained their strong form despite having suffered the early loss of Peter Trego, Steven Davies and Johann Myburgh for 11 runs combined, James Hildreth sparked the recovery with 57.
The hosts reached 197-7 after Corey Anderson chipped in with 32 and Lewis Gregory smashed 24 off nine balls – James Vince led the response with 74, ably assisted by Liam Dawson’s 82.
