DARREN Stevens labelled his Kent Spitfires teammate Daniel Bell-Drummond one of the best white-ball players in the country after the opener starred in their 28-run win at Essex Eagles.
Bell-Drummond smashed 50 off 29 balls – his third T20 fifty this summer – during an 89-run stand for the first wicket with England’s Zak Crawley.
The Spitfires posted 167-9 and then restricted the Eagles to 31-4 before heavy rain and lightning curtailed the game, which resulted in a win for the visitors via DLS.
