A MAIDEN half-century for teenager Tom Prest helped Hampshire secure just their second Vitality Blast win of the season as they overcame high-flying Gloucestershire by ten runs at the Ageas Bowl.
Starring in what was only his third Blast appearance, Prest was left to fend for himself after the loss of openers James Vince (13) and D’Arcy Short (17).
Anchoring the innings, 18-year-old Prest showed a maturity beyond his years to register an unbeaten 59 from just 42 balls and admitted afterwards he is still pinching himself at being part of a star-studded top order.
